Some call it old school, but print is still needed and highly necessary. Whether it’s in a magazine ad, brochure, a business card, or even an event poster—the key thing is to make sure the design catches the viewer’s attention and is easy to read. It’s also a necessity for a designer to work directly with the printer to make sure that your design looks its best when the ink hits that paper.

It truly is the digital age and it’s constantly changing. As a designer, it’s important to stay on top of the latest visual trends, algorithm changes, and the multitude of platforms from which your graphics will be seen. Every company needs to have some sort of presence on the web—whether through social media, website advertisement, e-newsletters, or graphics for SEO purposes. Whichever it is that you need it’s important that whatever gets put out there represents your company’s brand, stands out, and most importantly gets seen.

Logos can be simple or intricate, whichever it is—a good logo design should always look good in 1 color. It’s also extremely important to make sure each logo has a variation of not only color options for print but layout options as well. Some designs may need to have a stacked version and a horizontal version for placement purposes.
